A corner set inspired by Edward Hoppers 1942 oil on canvas artwork, Nighthawks.
Context
Myself and my four talented teammates were given 3 weeks to prepare this piece. My role was set designer although we worked to collaborate across our departments.
We reimagined this set to be the living room of the barman in the original piece. He is shown returning from a long shift at work to his brother, who was injured in the war, now relying on his older brother to care for him.
On our assessment day, we had 2 hours to construct and dress the set, and 30 minutes to strike down.
