Nighthawks, reimagined

A corner set inspired by Edward Hoppers 1942 oil on canvas artwork, Nighthawks.

Context

Myself and my four talented crew were given 3 weeks to prepare this piece. We worked to collaborate across our sectors.

We reimagined this set to be the living room of the barman in the original piece. He is shown returning from a long shift at work to his brother, who was injured in the Second World War, now relying on his older brother for care.

On our assessment day, we had 2 hours to construct and dress the set, and 30 minutes to strike down.
